The Year 2002 Safety City: “Instilling lifelong safety attitudes within children.” SAFETY EDUCATION The year 2002 passed with many memorable and educational achievements. For the second year, Safety City was able to deliver our Bike Safety program on site with over 750 students participating! Safety City also saw over 1000 students for the first ever on-site Pedestrian Safety program! |

Just before Christmas we wrapped up our Bullying program. It was warmly received and even brought a few tears to the eyes of our instructors. The main focus of the program was to deliver the message that no one deserves a wrinkled heart, with a few reminders and tools on how to ensure this, be a little nicer and stand up for others. We hope that everyone, not just the students takes the message home and treats everyone with respect and dignity! We are now into our third program of the year. Kindergarten to grade 3 will receive Home Safety and grades 4-6 will see us delivering our Internet Safety program. We hope that we can continue to make a difference by reminding students to follow some simple rules and ideas to keep them safe around the house and while online! |

| WELCOME TO
SAFETY CITY! CONGRATULATIONS and THANK YOU to everyone who have signed up to be Safety City citizens for the year 2003! We welcome you to our fine city. Your citizenship cards and family certificates are in the mail! Please watch for your updates, invitations to Parents clinics and our AGM invitation due to come out shortly! We appreciate your support and we hope we can support you and your family when thinking and learning about children’s safety. If you and
your family haven’t yet signed up to be Safety City citizens there is
still time! For the younger citizens, we offer opportunities to visit Safety City outside of their school visits, their very own citizenship cards, and a chance to participate in our very own Safety City Council! Wouldn’t it be fun to be Mayor, Alderman, Police or Fire Chief this year? You can help us make this small city a big place for kids! For more information ask for our brochure, or contact us in the office at 317-1955. We hope to hear from you!
